Director of Marketing for The Galveston Railroad Museum
A graduate of the University of Texas in Clear Lake City, TX., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Humanities, Mary Jo has spent the last 40+ years of her career providing public relations and marketing services for a number of corporations and non-profits including BP Americas, ACS a Xerox Company, Minute Maid a Coca Cola Company, Moody Gardens – Galveston, TX, Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, Lone Star Flight Museum, and The Center for Transportation & Commerce – Galveston Railroad Museum.
She has also assisted with numerous events in and around Galveston including The Galveston Greek Festival, World Oceans Day, The Houston Fire Museum – Fire Fest, and various events with the Lone Star Flight Museum including a Squadron Reunion for President George H.W. Bush.
Mary Jo has been an Adjunct Professor of Public Relations with the University of Houston – Clear Lake City and currently serves on the Women’s Studies Advisory Board. She lives in Galveston, TX with her husband and together in their spare time they are avid sailors.
